Symfony, PHP and Python developer

The best code is the code that takes repetitive work off people’s plates. I write internal tools, system-to-system integrations and automation: from an environment-management panel in Symfony, through Python scripts gluing APIs together, to bots and reports that send themselves.

What you get

Web applications in Symfony

Admin panels, internal tools and APIs in Symfony: Doctrine and migrations, Messenger for background jobs, Twig, tests, auth (LDAP / OAuth). Ready for Docker and CI/CD from the first commit.

API integrations

REST, SOAP, GraphQL, webhooks, CSV/XML/EDI files. Queues, retries, error logging and alerts – integrations that do not need babysitting.

Python automation

Scripts and services: data processing, reports, synchronisation, bots (Slack, Telegram), scheduled jobs. Run from cron, CI or as a container.

DevOps tooling

CLIs and automation for deployments, environment management, config generation, infrastructure clean-up – in Python, Bash or PHP.

Support for existing projects

I take over and extend PHP / Symfony / Python code, add tests, tidy up deployments. Without rewriting everything from scratch.

Technologies

How we work together

  1. 01

    Conversation and scope

You describe the process or the problem. I ask what should happen in edge cases and how to measure success. A short scope document comes out of it.

  2. 02

    Quote

Fixed price for well-defined tasks, hourly billing for exploratory work. Always with reasoning.

  3. 03

    Iterative work

Short milestones, each ending with something you can test. Code in your repo, with CI, pull requests and reviews if you have a team.

  4. 04

    Rollout and handover

Deployment (Docker / server / CI), documentation, README, training. Optional maintenance and further development.

Frequently asked questions

Do you also build frontends / mobile apps?

I focus on backend and automation. Simple interfaces (admin panels, forms, Twig/HTMX) yes; complex SPAs and mobile apps – together with frontend developers I work with.

Who owns the code?

You do. Code goes into your repository and the transfer of copyright is part of the contract.

How long does a typical automation take?

A simple script integrating two systems is usually a few days. A Symfony panel with auth and a few modules – two weeks and up. After a call I will give you a realistic estimate.

Have a project or an infrastructure problem?

Write a few sentences about what you want to achieve. I usually reply within 24 hours and tell you straight away whether and how I can help.
